The training section falls under the direct supervision of the Operations Division. Division Chief of Training, Jordan Reese, conducts and coordinates all department training activities including fire suppression, emergency medical technical rescue, officer development and recruit training. The division is responsible for ensuring that all department members meet the standards as set forth by the National Fire Protection Association, the City of Meridian Human Resources Department along with the internal requirements set by Meridian Fire. Div. Chief Reese is responsible for organizing, designing, implementing and managing training and employee development programs for the Meridian Fire Department. Meridian Fire ensures that our personnel remain competent in their assigned certified positions.
