Public Comment for Development of the PY24 Action Plan

The City of Meridian is an entitlement community receiving annual funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The City is currently operating under the Five-Year Consolidated Plan (Con Plan) for program years 2022-2026. The Con Plan outlines strategies, goals, and community development needs identified through collaboration with community members and local entities.

We are in the early stages of formulating the Action Plan for Program Year 2024 (PY24), covering October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. The initial step involves selecting projects for funding under the goals established in the Con Plan, which encompass:

  • Administration
    • Activities to administer the program
    • Fair Housing activities
  • Public Facility and Infrastructure Improvements
  • Housing
    • Annual application available April 1 to April 30
    • Typical projects include, but are not limited to homeowner repairs and homebuyer assistance
  • Public Services
    • Annual application available April 1 to April 30
    • Typical projects include, but are not limited to emergency rental assistance and childcare scholarships
