Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park is a 58-acre regional park established in 2012. The park was a gift to the City of Meridian in honor of the man who once farmed the land on which the park is now located.

Picnic Shelters Available to Rent:
Note: During times when there is not a paid reservation on a picnic shelter, it may be used for free on a first-come first-served basis.
Picnic shelters may not be reserved or occupied between 2:00 and 4:00 pm daily (with the exception of full-day reservations), as this is when crews come through to clean the shelters.
Shelter A-1
(just south of the recreation complex)
- Shelter Capacity:
- 400 (generally 25 picnic tables)
- Reservation Time Blocks:
- 9am - 2pm / 4pm - 9pm
- Rental Fee:
- $150 plus tax per 5-hour time block
A propane, industrial-sized barbecue griddle is available to rent per event date ($100 plus tax) in Shelter A-1.
Rental includes access to power and use of free charcoal grill.
Shelter A-2
(just north of the recreation complex - playground & splash pad area)
Shelter Capacity: 100 (generally 8 picnic tables)
Reservation Time Blocks: 9am - 2pm / 4pm - 9pm
Rental Fee: $75.00 plus tax per 5-hour time block
Rental includes access to power and use of free charcoal grill
Picnic Shelter A-3
(northwest of the bandshell; 550 feet from the playground)
Shelter Capacity: 100 (generally 8 picnic tables)
Reservation Time Blocks: 9am - 2pm / 4pm - 9pm
Rental Fee: $50 plus tax per 5-hour time block
Rental includes access to power and use of free charcoal grill
Note! Shelter A-3 is near pickleball courts. This location maybe affected by the sounds and sights of game activity.
Picnic Shelter A-4
(northeast of the bandshell; 775 feet from the playground)
Shelter Capacity: 100 (generally 8 picnic tables)
Reservation Time Blocks: 9am - 2pm / 4pm - 9pm
Rental Fee: $50 plus tax per 5-hour time block
Rental includes access to power and use of free charcoal grill
Shelter B-1
(just north of the labyrinth and east of the Meridian Senior Center)
Shelter Capacity: 500 (generally 25 picnic tables)
Reservation Time Blocks: 9am - 2pm / 4pm - 9pm
Rental Fee: $125 plus tax per 5-hour time block.
A propane, industrial-sized barbecue griddle is available to rent per event date ($100 plus tax) in Shelter B-1.
