To ensure City events remain welcoming and appropriate for all audiences, Meridian Parks & Recreation reserves the right to deny participation from any individual, organization, or business that promotes, endorses, or displays content that includes:
- Tobacco products, illegal substances, or products or services of a primarily sexual nature.
- Profane, obscene, indecent, violent, or pornographic language, images, or content.
- Content that discriminates against or promotes discrimination based on race, color, creed, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, or other protected status.
- Defamatory statements or personal attacks.
- Threats directed toward any individual or organization.
- Content that promotes, encourages, or depicts illegal activity or violations of federal, state, or local law.
- Information that could compromise public safety, security, or public systems.
- Content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights, including copyrights or trademarks, of another party.
- Content that violates City policies or applicable laws.
- Any other content that the Meridian Parks & Recreation Director determines is inconsistent with the mission, values, or best interests of the City of Meridian.
Meridian Parks & Recreation reserves the right to refuse or revoke sponsorship, vendor booths, parade entries or any other participation for any applicant whose business, advertising, promotional materials, or public messaging does not meet these standards.
