The Pretreatment Program objectives are met by helping local businesses understand their responsibilities under the Meridian City Code and the Federal Pretreatment Rules (pollution control requirements). Meridian City's Pretreatment Program local legal authority is established by Title 9, Chapter 2 Meridian City Code.

If you are an industrial or commercial business that discharges or plans to discharge wastewater to the Meridian Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility sewer system, you should check with the Meridian Pretreatment Program to determine which pretreatment requirements may apply to your business and if you need to apply for a permit.

Contact EPA Region 10 for information regarding dental requirements under 40 CFR 441:

206-553-1200 or 888-424-4372

Businesses with pollutants of concern as identified by the US 40 CFR 403 or Meridian City Code Title 9, Chapter 2 must adequately treat their process wastewater prior to discharge to the Meridian sanitary sewer. Below are lists of local service providers for various types of wastes. Please note that the City does not recommend or endorse any of these providers.
